Mission:

To inculcate in EBS students a love for learning and be able to successfully integrate the wisdom of business concepts into their daily lives so as to prepare them to master lives’ transition in their future vocations, families and personal lives.

The EBS programme seeks to open up the minds of our students by challenging them to be engaged in fruitful and meaningful learning. We seek to study our business environment in the context of the retail, tourism and hospitality sectors in Singapore. This, coupled with the in-depth study on the marketing and customer services aspects, we seek to mentor and tutor our students to become successful entrepreneurs of life.

Our delivery of content and skills are learner centered and based on co-operative games principles, self-discovery, group work dynamics as well as information technology. By using this mode of delivery, we hope to bring our pupils to a higher level of engagement and a deeper level of cognitive achievements in our study. It is hoped that this will open up the pathways of our students’ minds to absorb the wonderful knowledge which life, in itself, has to offer so abundantly.

Our highlight is the learning journey programme which we offer to all our students. We seek to bring the realities of the business world and give evidence to the theoretical underpinnings which students learn from their EBS lessons. The learning journeys to the different industry in Singapore and Hong kong gives students a bigger perspective and a deeper personal relevance to what they have learnt. It is hoped that these visits would prepare our pupils better for the world out there when they graduate from the Canberra Secondary School
