A Visitor from Manor School CE, York, United Kingdom

Mr Adam Otway, a history teacher from the school in UK visited us from 13-17 of February this year. He was warmly received by the students and staff of our school. In fact, he became a mini celebrity, especially amongst the girls! A teacher who has a passion in the teaching of history, he was here to learn and share with the Humanities Department and at the same time conduct some lessons in a Singapore classroom. It was indeed a good learning experience for him and our staff.

PSG Welcome cum Gathering

The Parents Support Group(PSG) held its first welcoming cum gathering for 30 new and current parent volunteers on 18th February 2012. We kicked start the programme with the game “What’re my values?”. The members learnt the importance of teamwork and working hand-in-hand with the school as we organise activities and programmes to help every Canberran achieve his fullest potential. The parents also worked in groups to build the tallest tower using newspaper and to solve the mystery puzzle which comprises of the words: “TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More”. This was followed by a talk by the PSG Chairman, Mdm Adeline M, who shared with everyone the PSG’s vision, mission and the roles for its members.
